Microsoft Access 2003 is part of the Microsoft Office packaging of programs. It is designed to help create databases and organize reports, then upload the contents to a different program in the Office package. This program comes with the entire Office suite when bought, although it is also possible to download the software and add-ons directly from the Microsoft website.
We regularly receive Access '97 format mdb files from one of our customers. A Microsoft Office Developer Edition 97 run-time application that. Try to find compatibe driver; open mdb file with newer Access and export the data to newer format. Probably after that it will be easier to find.
Step 1
Open your Internet browser and navigate to the 'Office.Microsoft.com' website.
Step 2
Click 'Downloads Categories,' 'Office Download Catalog' and choose 'Office 2003.'
Step 3
Select 'Access 2003' and all of the available Access downloads appear on the screen.
Step 4
Choose the download you want and a prompt appears, asking if you are sure you want to download the file. Click 'Yes' and the software downloads directly to the computer.
Double-click the downloaded file and the installation wizard appears on the screen. Follow the prompts of the installation wizard to completely install the program, or program updates, onto the computer.

-->This issue occurs when you try to use Access 2013 or later version of Microsoft Access to open an Access 97 database. To work around this issue, use a pre-Access 2013 version of Access to save the Access 97 database as an .accdb file:
- Open the Access 97 database in Access 2003.
- On the Tools menu, click Database Utilities, click Convert Database, and then click to Access 2002-2003 file format.
- Enter a name for the database, and then click Save.
- Exit Access 2003.
- Open the database in Access 2013 or later version of Access.
- On the File tab, click Save As, select Access Database (*.accdb), and then click Save As.
- In the Save Asdialog box, click Save.
Cause
This issue occurs because recent versions of Access cannot convert Access 97 files.
